Exfoliation is the removal of dead cells from the topmost layer of the skin. Along with cleaning, toning, and moisturizing, skin exfoliation is also important to have healthy and glowing skin as it prevents formation of acne, whiteheads, and delays signs of ageing.
Here are some of the homemade packs that we can use to exfoliate our skin.
- Curd and oatmeal: Take curd and oatmeal and make a thick paste. Apply this face pack and keep it for 30 minutes and then wash. Curd is helpful in moisturizing and lightening of skin. Oatmeal is helpful in removing dead cells from the skin.
- Semolina and raw milk: Mix a cup of semolina with raw milk. You should use cold milk to make a thick paste. Now, apply this pack on your face, hands, and legs. Wait for 10-15 minutes and once the pack becomes semi-dry, gently massage your skin to remove the dead cells. Then wash your skin with lukewarm water.
- Chocolate and oatmeal: One of the best skin-exfoliating face packs is the oatmeal and chocolate face pack. Mix some cocoa powder, oatmeal powder, and a few drops of lime juice in a bowl. Add rose water to make a paste. Apply this paste on face, legs, and hands. Rub it after sometime to remove the dead cells.
- Vitamin and sugar: Take 2 vitamin E capsules and squeeze the oil and mix 1 tsp of sugar and vanilla extract to it. You can also add almond oil if you have dry skin. Apply this mixture on face and scrub it well. It removes the dead cells effectively.
- Olive oil and coffee: use a mixture of 1 tbsp coffee powder and 1 tbsp olive oil and make a past. Apply this paste on face and other parts of the body and massage gently for 2 to 3 minutes. Wash this paste after 20 minutes to get glowing skin.
- Almonds and honey: Make a paste with 10-12 soaked almonds and milk. Mix honey in it and apply this face pack 2-3 days in a week. It hydrates and exfoliates your skin effectively.
- Papaya and sugar: smash a few pieces of ripe papaya and mix 1/2 tbsp of sugar in it. Apply this paste on your face and scrub for 3-4 minutes. Wait for another 15-20 minutes and then wash your face to get glowing skin.
- Buttermilk and oatmeal: Take 1/2 cup of buttermilk and 1/4 cup of oatmeal in a bowl. Make thick paste and apply on your face and other body parts. It helps in removing tan and removes dead cells from the skin.
- Banana and sugar: make a paste of banana, oatmeal, sugar, and milk. Apply it on your face. Start scrubbing the skin gently after 3-4 minutes and wash your face after 10 minutes. You will get a bright skin after exfoliation.
- Egg white and sunflower oil: Beat an egg white in a bowl and mix 1 tsp of sunflower oil and honey in it. Apply the mixture on your face and wash with lukewarm water after 20 minutes to get youthful skin.
- Green tea and baking soda: take 2-3 used green bags to take out the content from them and add it to 1 tbsp of baking soda and 2-3 tsp of honey. Apply this paste on skin and massage your skin and then wash it with water to get glowing skin.
- Coffee and lemon juice: mix 1 tbsp each of cocoa powder, coffee, and lemon juice with 1 tsp of honey. Make a paste and apply on your face. Wash after 20 minutes to get glowing skin.
- Apple cider vinegar: Mix water and apple cider vinegar in the ratio 1:1. Apply this mixture on your face with a cotton ball. Wash it after sometime. Use it for 1-2 times every day.
- Strawberry and lemon juice: Mix 1/2 tsp each of honey and lemon juice and apply it on your face. Wait for 15-20 minutes and wash it to get radiant and smooth skin.
- Turmeric and milk: Make a paste of 1 tsp of milk and turmeric and apply it on your face. Scrub it gently and keep it for 10 minutes and then wash with lukewarm water.
- Rice flour and potato juice: extract juice from 1 shredded potato and mix with 1 tbsp of rice flour. Add rose water to the mixture and apply the paste. Wash it off after it dries up.
- Pomegranate seeds and milk– Crush a handful of pomegranate seeds and mix it with cold milk to make thick paste. Apply this paste on face and scrub gently. Wipe off the mixture with a wet towel after sometime.
